I just bought this book of Utagawa Hiroshige published by Taschen. It’s an amazing book, and soooo inspiring. You can see that Hiroshige did a lot of interesting compositions dealing with foreground, middleground, background, and negative spaces. You can find the English edition much cheaper than the Japanese edition, so I strongly recommend this book to any illustrators and ukiyo-e fans.
